Acceptance of terms
By using Bike Archive ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who operates Bike Archive
Bike Archive is operated by Hank Bicycle Company, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Utah, USA ("we," "us," or "our"). References in these terms to "Bike Archive and its operators" mean Hank Bicycle Company, LLC.
What Bike Archive is
Bike Archive is a free, independent reference database of bicycle models, specifications, and related calculators. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by any bicycle manufacturer or brand referenced on the site. See our Fair Use Policy for details.
No warranty on data accuracy
Information on the site — including torque specifications, geometry data, component fitment, and calculator outputs — is provided for reference purposes only, on an "as is" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Manufacturers revise specifications between production runs and model years, and errors can occur despite our efforts to verify data.
Do not treat this site as a substitute for the manufacturer's official documentation, especially for safety-critical work such as torque specifications on load-bearing or steering/braking components. Always verify against the manufacturer's manual or a qualified mechanic before performing work that affects rider safety.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bike Archive and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its data — including damage to property, injury, or loss resulting from reliance on information provided here.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems
- Scrape or bulk-extract the site's data at a volume or rate that degrades service for other users
- Use the site to infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party
- Misrepresent Bike Archive's independent status, or imply manufacturer endorsement, in your own use of the data
Intellectual property
The site's original content, design, and compiled database structure are the property of Hank Bicycle Company, LLC. Underlying factual specifications are not owned by us and may be freely referenced elsewhere; manufacturer names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the site remain the property of their respective owners.
Copyright and DMCA
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We have registered a DMCA Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.
To submit a copyright infringement notice or a counter-notification, email our Designated Agent at DMCA@bikearchive.org. Our Notice and Takedown page describes what a valid notice must contain and how the counter-notification process works. We also terminate access for users who are repeat infringers where appropriate.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party manufacturer sites or resources. We aren't responsible for the content or practices of sites we don't control.
Changes to the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time, without notice.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
Governing law
